There are many reasons that a patient may not be able to return home right away after hospitalization. There may be a need for extended rehabilitation, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. Perhaps IV therapy or other needs make some form of professional medical intervention necessary.
You or a family member may have been sent to a larger hospital for an acute care stay, but you find that extra days are needed beyond the days required to stabilize your condition. You may not be able to endure intensive treatment in a rehabilitation hospital…but are not ready to go directly home.
Whatever the reason, Piggott Community Hospital is ready to help you when you cannot go directly home. No matter where your physician is located, you can move to Piggott for continuing care.
